In unserem Gemeinschaftsgarten habe ich Walderdbeeren und Himbeeren gepflanzt, meine Enkelinnen lieben es, dort zu ernten.

Wow! It would be early for cherry tomatoes even in California where I used to live. I usually had them by July 1. But our farmers market in Washington state had raspberries today as well as strawberries, so things are moving along towards summer. My lone cherry tomato plant is blossoming -- I haven't seen fruits yet. Basil is growing slowly. I'm thinking I'll be able to harvest these things in August. I like the square meter guideline, which gives me something to hope for, as in "I should eventually be able to clear a square meter of weeds and stones."
It's the variety - always surprises me. The flavor profile isn't great, but they're always super early. Your last sentence made me laugh out loud! Thanks for reading!
